Recently, a key product of one of our company’s important clients encountered serious quality issues during the molding process, putting it at risk of being halted from production. The issue must be resolved quickly and efficiently; otherwise, it could disrupt product deliveries, lead to substantial financial losses, and severely damage the company’s reputation. In this critical situation, the Production Director led a team comprising representatives from technology, manufacturing, and quality assurance, voluntarily sacrificing their personal time to go deep into the field and conduct repeated, meticulous verification. Ultimately, the problem was resolved efficiently within a short period, ensuring both product quality and compliance with the client’s delivery requirements. We applaud Bohai for its highly efficient work ethic and rigorous approach. We are confident that the company will continue to develop in a sustained, stable, and healthy manner.

We specialize in the customization and production of compounded rubber (also known as “rubber compounds”). Based on different customer requirements, we use raw rubber combined with compounding agents and additives, processed through a closed-milling system to create semi-finished materials that can be directly used for vulcanization and molding. These materials find extensive applications in industries such as automotive manufacturing (sealing strips, vibration-damping pads, fuel hoses) and mechanical engineering (conveyor belts, sealing rings, cushioning components).

Currently, the rubber industry is facing multiple challenges, including volatile raw material prices, increasingly stringent environmental regulations, intensifying homogeneous competition, and rising demands for more sophisticated quality control. How to simultaneously achieve improvements in product quality, cost reduction, efficiency enhancement, and green transformation has become the key to breaking through these industry bottlenecks. In recent years, an increasing number of rubber enterprises have proactively adopted the PDCA cycle management model (Plan, Do, Check, Act), deeply integrating it into the entire value chain—from R&D and production to quality control and equipment maintenance—thereby overcoming challenges through “closed-loop management and spiral improvement.”

Firstly, we had a technical exchange with SAIC Volkswagen R&D Center on the sealing of body sheet metal holes. At present, with the rapid development of new energy vehicles, how to ensure passenger safety in the event of battery thermal runaway is a key development direction for major automakers. There is an urgent need for sheet metal hole seals under high temperature conditions. Dalian Bohai Rubber has many years of experience in developing rubber seals with temperature levels below 200 ℃, which can meet the sealing and flame retardant requirements of host factories at this temperature. SAIC Volkswagen stated that in the future, supplier recommendations can be made to jointly develop new material products to meet the increasing safety requirements.
