This month, the company acquired a new piece of equipment—the combined salt spray chamber—providing another significant boost to our testing capabilities. Cyclic corrosion testing is a more realistic salt spray test than traditional steady-state exposure. This is because real-world outdoor exposure typically involves alternating dry and wet conditions; only by simulating these natural, cyclical environmental factors does laboratory accelerated testing become meaningful. Studies have shown that, following cyclic corrosion testing, the relative corrosion rate, microstructure, and morphological features of test specimens closely resemble their outdoor corrosion behavior. Therefore, cyclic corrosion testing provides a more accurate simulation of real-world outdoor exposure than conventional salt spray spraying.

It also exhibits excellent fatigue resistance and flexural endurance. 3. Good Processability: After plasticizing, it has high plasticity, making it easy to mix, calender, and extrude. 4. After a first-stage vulcanization, since the temperature (150℃) is relatively low, some low-molecular-weight substances still remain in the vulcanized rubber, thereby affecting the product’s performance. For example, in silicone rubbers vulcanized with BP or DCBP, the acidic substances—such as benzoic acid—that are generated from the decomposition of the vulcanizing agent remain in the vulcanized rubber after the first-stage vulcanization. When the product is used under high-temperature, sealed conditions above 200℃, these substances cause cracking, leading to a significant drop in hardness and a sharp deterioration in physical and mechanical properties, ultimately rendering the product unusable. To address this issue, a second-stage vulcanization is required to remove various low-molecular-weight substances from the rubber. Moreover, the second-stage vulcanization can also eliminate moisture or crystal water from fillers, thereby preventing hydrolytic aging of silicone rubber products during use or storage.
